Alps supports three pricing tiers: Starter, Teacher, and School / District. The starter tier is free for teachers and students. Please see our pricing page for more details.

Alps is your co-pilot, saving you time by creating recommended assignments, grading with feedback, and automating other routine tasks. You can review and approve these before they are shared with students. With this support, you have more time to spend with your students.

Teachers can import their assessments into Alps using our Gutenberg-lite feature which allows them to copy and paste assessments in free text format and uses AI to transform them into rich, interactive activities, with auto-grading and feedback.

The full featured Gutenberg allows teachers to import their full curriculum in multiple formats, such as Word, Google Docs, PDF, PowerPoint, and Slides, from cloud-based file and curricula repositories such as Google Drive, Google Classroom, GitHub, and more. Gutenberg may require custom development to support your curriculum and is available to schools and districts upon request.

Alps creates a predictive model of the student's learning of core concepts. Mastery usually means the student is likely to correctly answer a question on a concept with a greater than 90% probability. Lower probabilities are associated with lower levels of performance.

Engagement is also modeled as a predictive score, considering the time spent on a given problem relative to other students. Lower engagement can indicate that the student is either fluent with the concept and needs much less time to complete an activity or that the student has provided a response without much thought. It may also indicate plagiarism.

Students can interact with AI through our Pathfinder feature, which is available in the school / district tier. Teachers have complete control over the level of AI support for their students.

Student safety is one of the key design principles that permeate the use of artificial intelligence in Alps. 2Sigma School takes compliance with FERPA and COPPA seriously in designing and implementing all our products and processes. We take numerous proactive steps to anonymize student learning data throughout our processing, including using AI models.

Students are added to Alps using one of several approaches below:

  • LMS, Clever Integration — with supported LMS systems and Clever Rostering, Alps can directly import roster data using LTI or API integration with the vendor's APIs.
  • CSV Imports — with partner schools and districts, Alps can import roster data from CSV files that are securely transferred to our systems over Secure FTP.
  • Google Spreadsheet Imports —Alps can import roster data from Google Spreadsheets. We provide a Google Sheet template for teachers to use to import their roster data.
  • Join Links — Individual teachers can create Join codes for their section and share them with students for a one-click join experience.
