We believe every learner deserves personalized attention and every educator deserves the tools to provide it. Alps bridges this gap by combining cutting-edge AI with pedagogical best practices, creating an adaptive learning platform that respects educator expertise while eliminating repetitive tasks.

The 2 Sigma Problem

Alps was inspired by Benjamin Bloom's 2 Sigma Problem—the finding that learners receiving one-on-one tutoring perform two standard deviations better than those in traditional classes. Our founders at 2Sigma School worked with several educators and learning science researchers to ask:

“ How can we enable educators to provide personalized attention to every learner? ”

The answer inspired the creation of Alps—an adaptive learning platform that acts as a co-pilot for educators, handling time-consuming and repetitive tasks and providing insights and automation that enable every learner to be fully supported even in large classes.
